Barron Spotlighters (BS), a community theatre group dedicated to providing quality live theatre entertainment to Barron and neighboring counties, is in their 31st continuous year of existence. BS performs three major productions each season, usually two comedies or dramas and one musical.  Their home theatre is in the Barron Area Community Center at 800 Memorial Drive, Barron, WI.

    The group strives to provide family friendly entertainment as well as fun and educational experiences for students in surrounding school districts.  Every other year BS produces a musical appropriate for students and offers matinees which are priced very reasonably and marketed to schools.  BS also sponsors summer children's theatre workshops and often hosts other educational workshops and conferences.  Scholarships are provided for high school seniors attending universities or technical colleges, as well as  to enable high school students to attend summer theatre workshops for youth. 
 

      The group has an open-door policy which draws people with interests in theatre arts ranging from passing to passionate.  Persons who's  interest is performing, directing, working backstage, or providing audience assistance are all invited to join the fun.  Open auditions are held for all shows and volunteers are needed and welcomed in all areas.
