Barron Spotlighters Theater Group Now in Rehearsals For “A Christmas Carol”
The Barron Spotlighters theater group are deep into rehearsals for their first show of the 2023-2024 season, “A Christmas Carol”. Advance tickets for this show are now on sale through their website at www.barronspotlighters.org. Tickets are $18 each for any of the five shows from November 30 through December 3, and $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to The Barron Food Pantry & Backpack Program.
“A Christmas Carol” recounts the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. After their visits, Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, gentler man. Come see this holiday classic at one of the 5 performances to kick off the Christmas season!
This first show of the season has performances only for a single weekend. Thursday, November 30 through Saturday, December 2 all offer evening shows beginning at 7:30pm, while both Saturday, December 2, and Sunday, December 3 offer matinee shows beginning at 2:30pm. This is a holiday classic that will help everyone get into the spirit of Christmas. This play was adapted for the stage by local writer Beth Halverson and is also directed by her.
