Barron Spotlighters Helping With Special Fundraising Event
The Barron Spotlighters theater group is working with a private team of individuals to put on an interactive murder mystery dinner fundraiser on Friday, November 3, 2023. This interactive murder mystery dinner fundraiser will be held at the Worden Avenue Exchange with the doors opening at 7pm that Friday evening. This fundraiser is designed to help with the fees associated with adoption for Jeff and DeAnna Eby.
It is the 1920s and the act of prohibition has forced all drinking establishments to close. Without easy access to liquor and establishments, “Speakeasies” such as the Caterpillar Club have sprung up all over the country. It’s a usual night at the Caterpillar Club – until, that is, the biggest organized crime boss and mobster in the city, Bulletproof Bill Mahoney, is found dead! Suddenly, the patrons find themselves suspects in a murder investigation that has to be kept “hush hush” in order to keep the coppers away and the speakeasy open!
Attendees are encouraged to dress up in their best mobster suit or flapper dress. Prizes will be drawn for those who have the best costume as well as for those who guess the murderer correctly. Reservations are required and can be made by calling DiAnna Polak at 715-532-5968. Tickets are $50 per person, cash or check only, and can be paid at the door the night of the event.
